What you'll be doing
MHDA DeclarationEach person’s unique journey of recovery will be supported by mental health drug and alcohol services in a way that fosters hope, purpose and resilience.
MHDA Statement of IntentionThe intention of the NSLHD MHDA is to provide recovery-orientated, trauma informed services that are guided by evidence-based practices and collaboration.
The successful candidates will provide professional social work services to inpatients on the Mental Health inpatient Unit and PECC.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Social Work degree and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), including the ability to demonstrate a practical application of the AASW Code of Ethics.
- Proven ability to work independently and to establish effectively collaboratively working relationships within a multi-disciplinary team and interagency networks.
- Demonstrate skills and knowledge in the provision of service to consumers, carers and families requiring assessment, counselling, crisis management, case management, advocacy, intervention, appropriate referral and discharge planning.
