Overview
We invite you to join our supportive and dynamic social work team at Yorke and Northern Local Health Network, Port Pirie.
Our rural generalist Social Workers pride themselves on being nonjudgmental, understanding privilege and power and engaging in anti-oppressive practice which incorporates cultural sensitivity.
Our work is solution (goal) focused, striving to build the capacity of adult clients with the aim of self-empowerment and increased autonomy while respecting individual values. Please note, this role does not provide services to children.
Supports and Incentives
The successful candidate will have the benefit of the following (subject to availability and eligibility):
- Up to $13,000 reimbursement for relocation costs (e.g. for travel, removalists)
- 3 months free accommodation and subsidised rental accommodation for short term contracts (up to 1 year)
- Professional supervision within your discipline to support professional and clinical development
- Support in developing your career journey - whether you are an early career clinician or experienced leader, we can help
- Minimum of $2000 per year for professional development and training (can include registrations, travel and accommodation)
- A Transition to Professional Practice Program to support allied health professionals new to rural and remote practice in their first year of practice in a rural setting
- A thorough orientation and buddy system to support relocation and transition
Eligibility
You will need to hold a recognised qualification within Social Work profession, and be eligible for practicing membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). As a self- regulated profession, it is desirable to participate in the AASW Continuing Professional education (CPE) Accreditation program.
