About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker for our Access Health Program! You will play a central function to the Access Health daily activities including: engaging service users, managing the flow of service users through the program and coordinating activities and information to other Access Health professionals.
Responsibilities include
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for all people attending services
- Work in a manner consistent with trauma informed practice, harm reduction principles and with a good understanding of the social model of health
- Conduct risk assessments and brief interventions
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders towards best possible outcomes for people using services
- Lead specific portfolios identified such as co-facilitation of drop in groups
This is a permanent part-time position, 22.8 hours per week (3 days per week), based in St Kilda, VIC. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Level 5 Award.
What you will have
- Bachelors degree in Social Work, Social Services or similar
- Relevant experience in a social service environment preferably the health, AOD, homelessness and/or mental health sector
- A current VIC Drivers Licence
