The Rehabiltation Services ,at the Townsville University Hospital is looking for a Social Worker in their Brian and Spinal Cord Injury (BaSCI) Project team. This is a Fixed term temporary full-time position available for an immediate start up to 30/06/2024 with a possible extension through to 30/06/2025,

About the role
This position will be part of the multidisciplinary BaSCI Project team which is improving access to specialised rehabilitation for people with Brain and Spinal Cord injuries in North Queensland.
Deliver Social Work clinical services to BaSCI Project clinics at the Townsville Rehabilitation Unit and contribute to other BaSCI Project initiatives such as the development of a culturally safe model of care for the Rehabilitation Service.
Role requirements
- The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in social work that provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to commencement of clinical duties.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
- This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and appropriate licence endorsement to operate this vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty.
