Grade 3 Senior Social Worker Melbourne
Randstad is partnering exclusively with a client in Melbourne to recruit a level 3 Social Worker for a full time position. If you would like to be part of a team that is making a meaningful difference within the unit then this is the role for you.
About the role:
As a Social Worker working with this client you can expect to be part of a working environment that aims to improve the health and well-being of all its stakeholders from the patients to the staff.
In this position you will offer support to patients through their maternity, neonatal, gynaecological and oncology experiences and provide information, counselling, support and advocacy for patients in response to their needs.
Key responsibilities:
Undertake direct clinical practice and provide a high quality evidence-based practice, including psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, short-term counselling, bereavement care, advocacy, community liaison and referral, case management and discharge planning
Possess a high level theoretical understanding and an intersectional approach to clinical practice in relation to working with victim/survivors of family violence and sexual assault and knowledge of working with complex trauma and the child protection system.
Provide management and leadership to the social care team and ensure service delivery practice is in line with current evidence-based practice
Provide containment and coaching – engage with staff in developing and committing to their plan that targets specific behaviours, skills or knowledge needed
About you:
Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Social Work as well as meeting eligibility requirements for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
Demonstrated leadership skills in accordance and provision of Social Workers with regular supervision in accordance with AASW practice standards.
Experience within child protection, women, children or babies is desirable
Salary and Benefits:
Annual salary between $100,000 - $120,000 + super
5 weeks annual leave
