Where you'll be workingMacquarie hospital is a 190 bed psychiatric hospital at North Ryde. The successful applicant will be a member of a Multidisciplinary team helping to integrate consumers into the community.
What you'll be doing
Working as a member of a Multidisciplinary team providing ongoing assessments, counselling and education for carers, attending Mental Health Act and Guardianship Hearings, NDIS Applications, Discharge /Transition plans, working to implement Pathways to Community Living (PCLI).
Each person’s unique journey of recovery will be supported by mental health drug and alcohol services in a way that fosters hope, purpose and resilience.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
- Social Work degree and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), including the ability to demonstrate a practical application of the AASW Code of Ethics.
- Proven ability to work independently and to establish effectively collaboratively working relationships within a multi-disciplinary team and interagency networks.
- Demonstrated well developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate skills and knowledge in the provision of service to consumers, carers and families requiring assessment, counselling, crisis management, case management, advocacy, intervention, appropriate referral and discharge planning.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required).
- Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to use health information systems.
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence.
