About the Role
- Manage an allocated workload to deliver Social Work services, including assessment, intervention and evaluation within an interprofessional team in accordance with established clinical & departmental protocols, policies and procedures, utilising evidence-based practice and ethical standards and under clinical practice supervision or professional guidance of more senior staff.
- Manage and organise day to day activities of the Social Work service to ensure responsive and optimum coverage of services to targeted patient groups throughout the hospital.
- Provide safe, patient-centred and compassionate care considering each patient's psychological, social, emotional, spiritual and physical care.
- Apply increasingly independent clinical judgement to Social Work complex decision making with only occasional clinical/professional supervision.
