As an energetic Software Developer, you will be partnering with our clients to make their requirements ‘reality’ and their businesses successful. You will be representing the entire range of Huon IT services by designing, developing, and implementing technical solutions for our clients. Work with key customer stakeholders, their team of business analysts and end users to define system requirements. This role requires strong business acumen and a passion for research and design.
The Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager of Client Services and working across our full suite of clients, you will have the opportunity to work on a vast selection of development requirements. With a current workforce of 45 staff, you have the opportunity to display your automation skills while expanding our company’s capabilities and contributing to growing our business. Roles & Responsibilities:
- Accountable for ongoing management and support for the solutions built and implemented by Huon IT. This includes, but not limited to working on support tickets, design changes, migrations, upgrades, etc. on an ongoing basis.
- Work with BDMs and AMs during presales, solution design and proposal phase of the opportunity. Responsible for requirements gathering, documentation, scoping and effort estimation as a part of these phases of the sales lifecycle.
Requirements:
Desired Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of development experience is required including but not limited to: Azure Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, Azure Web/API Apps, SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics
- Experience in enterprise software development using .NET stack, including REST APIs, Web Applications and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions.
- API development experience using REST/JSON, SOAP/XML, Web service.
- Scripting in languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or JavaScript is desired, not essential.
- Experience with enterprise-level software delivery and release management practices.
- Experience with securing DevOps and applications with Azure KeyVault.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g. C#, Java, etc.)
- Experience in SQL Server development desired, not essential.
- Working knowledge of UI frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Kendo UI, DevExpress, etc.)
- Working knowledge of security best practices (e.g., OWASP)
- Unit Testing/Test-Driven Development
- Devops experience is a plus.
- Microsoft AZ-204, AZ-400 certification is a bonus.
- M365 development experience will be viewed favourably.
