Position Overview:
A rolling 3-month contract with a successful IT Services & Consultancy business. Reporting to the Project Manager you will be responsible for the development, design, and implementation of new or modified software products or ongoing business projects. This is the perfect opportunity for a Software Engineer with around 5 years experience to get involved with an exiting project, working along side an awesome team (great mentors and awesome learning opportunity!).
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and manage software applications.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code based on specifications.
- Integrate various components and third-party programs to create seamless software solutions.
- Identify and implement modifications and enhancements to existing software.
- Conduct thorough troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading of software.
- Test, evaluate, and validate new programs for performance and functionality.
- Collaborate with UX designers, developers, and system analysts to enhance software applications.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
- Train end-users on new and updated software.
- Collect user feedback and incorporate it into future software developments.
- Recommend and implement continuous improvements to enhance system performance.
- Perform additional tasks as required based on your expertise and skills.
- Proven experience in software design and development, preferably in an Agile environment.
- Proficient with coding languages such as C#, JavaScript, PowerShell, and T-SQL.
- Familiarity with frameworks and systems like .NET, Blazor, Angular, and WinForms.
- Strong experience with database management and ORM frameworks.
- Capable of working in a DevOps and Azure environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex information to non-technical team members.
- Commercial awareness and a good understanding of business processes.
- Must have a clean National Police Clearance.
