Your Key Accountabilities:
The core capability requirements for this role are:

• Resource management including workload planning, prioritisation and scheduling to ensure adequate resources are available to deliver and maintain services to agreed Service Level Agreements.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders through continual engagement, regular communication, and a pro-active approach to service delivery.
• Provide high quality advice to senior management of QPS and public safety customer agencies on Software Development solutions and other strategic initiatives.
• Manage the operations of the Software Development Group, using flexible/agile resourcing models, and ensure it is well organised and capable.
• Lead risk management activities and implement innovative strategies to mitigate and resolve IT related risks.
• Monitor outputs of the group and utilise best practice and continuous improvement principles to enhance service delivery and contribute to corporate objectives and initiatives.

Role Requirements:
The following qualifications are highly desirable:
Qualification:

• PRINCE2
• SCRUM Master Certification

Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience:

• Knowledge in all phases of the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Knowledge of the Agile methodology.
• Experience with managing cross functional Agile teams.
• Knowledge of developing within a Secure Software Development Lifecycle.

Other:
This position may be required to perform some duties outside of business hours including:

• On call
• Overtime
