THE ROLE:
Quality Energy is seeking a Sales Engineer to join our growing team. The Sales Engineer position is a cross-functional role that demands diverse skill sets, including system design and substantial interaction with prospective customers and partners.
The role will be based in Moorabbin, VIC, and the successful candidate will demonstrate a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced industry with a solid background in business development.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- CEC Solar & BESS design certification.
- Experience in designing projects up to 2MW.
- Solar carpark and BESS experience would be considered favourable, but not essential.
- Ability to provide multi-product technical solutions and craft winning sales proposals that meet customer expectations.
- Willingness to learn new skills to support in designing Power Factor Correction and EV Charging projects alongside our Engineering team.
- High-level commercial acumen, communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills, complemented by a strong understanding of sales concepts and techniques.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and incentives in the Australian solar industry.
- Proven experience in Solar Sales, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare comprehensive and compelling proposals in Pylon, including cost estimates, system specifications, design, and return on investment (ROI) analyses. (Training provided if no prior experience with Pylon).
- Clearly articulate the environmental and financial benefits of solar energy to potential clients.
- Develop customer proposals for our other products and services. (Training provided).
- Provide project quotations and negotiate pricing as required.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, proposals, and project details.
- Manage accounts with existing partners, securing business and closing deals with key stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations to enhance product understanding and awareness.
- Conduct market canvassing to gain insights and adapt to changing pricing and delivery requirements.
- Assist with tender submissions.
- Collaborate with our sales and marketing team to develop coordinated sales efforts.
- Stay updated on new technology, market developments, and competitor offerings.
