We are assisting our client in fulfilling a Solution Architect position for an initial 12-month contract.
This role is centred around achieving business outcomes and fostering innovation and agility through the development of solutions aimed at driving business and technological changes in alignment with core organisational functions, business strategies, digital strategies and operational enterprise architecture plans. This specific entity specialises in telecommunications and metering.
The Solution Architect Key Accountabilities are:
- Identify, resolve and / or manage architecture challenges throughout the provisioning of technical solutions across the organisation;
- Provide expert advice in Solution Architecture and Design/s for the organisation whilst maintaining a focus on business objectives;
- Development and management of relationships with key clients and the Digital leadership team to support the identification, coordination and planning of services in a timely and effective manner;
- Ensuring that new initiatives and projects are identified, defined and aligned with the business plans and strategies;
- Identification, resolution and management of strategy and architecture issues / exemptions are identified, resolved and managed;
- Provision of appropriate advice regarding architecture options / solutions to other projects and initiatives;
- Production of architecture design artefacts;
- Negotiation of best possible business and technological outcomes;
- Ensure architectures are developed to reflect the interrelationships across the Digital group application set and mapped against the architectures of the organisation; and
- Compliance with all relevant legislation and relevant policies, procedures and practices as required.
Technical Requirements:
The environments is complex and diverse and requires a technical background as well as strong stakeholder management skills, such as:
- Strong experience in delivering enterprise digital solutions;
- Strong experience in designing and implementing enterprise cloud application and data ecosystems that comply with cyber and information security requirements;
- Experience in designing end-to-end cloud-based solutions that are highly available, scalable, stable, secure and cost-effective;
- Experience in designing and implementing cloud migration strategies for on premise data warehousing and analytical solutions;
- Experienced in commercial documentation and negotiations related to product or application assessment, tenders and commercial agreements; and
- Highly skilled in communicating across different levels within the organisation.
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in providing architectural and process direction for the end-to-end engagements for enterprise digital solutions with a detailed understanding and consideration of ongoing management challenges;
- Demonstrated experience in architecture, design and building of enterprise digital solutions;
- Demonstrated stakeholder management skills with proven ability to engage with technical resources, senior execute team and external vendors / partners;
- Proven experience in elicit business and architectural information from others and document it as part of solution designs, including demonstration of how solutions meet frameworks and standards;
- Demonstrated knowledge of Azure Cloud native characteristics and how architectures can be delivered in accordance with technical challenges and best practices;
- Demonstrated application of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (e.g. Field Service, CRM, Marketing) and Power Platform to deliver business value in previous engagements; and
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written communication skills) with business and technical stakeholders, senior management and project team members, including facilitating workshops and producing artefacts from these engagements.
Duration:
12 month contract.
Reporting Structure:
The role will report to the Business Analysis & Initiation Lead.
