THE ROLE
The Solutions Architect will play a key role in the transformation, design and build of an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) platform and enterprise architecture used by the Social Services Regulator to be established 1 July 2024.
Legislative reforms arising from the Social Services Regulation (SSR) Act 2021 and the Child Wellbeing and Safety Act 2005 are expected to expand regulatory responsibilities to the Victorian community and will require the enhancement of ICT systems and review of the enterprise architecture.
The Disability Services Commissioner will also merge with the new Social Services Regulator in 2024, with similar reforms planned for the Victorian Disability Worker Commissioner and Disability Worker Registration Board of Victoria within the next two years. Additionally, there are plans for a complaints division to be established, covering all regulated social services, once further legislative amendments have been made and informed through key stakeholder consultation.
The role will be responsible for leading the planning, development and execution of the solution architecture, systems design and common functional services using appropriate methodologies to support the new regulatory schemes.
