About the role:
An amazing time to join our Global Sourcing team as we embark on an exciting growth journey!
The primary focus of this role will be to assist our Buying and supporting functional teams to ensure all sourcing projects are delivered in accordance with the agreed timelines through effective project management and stakeholder engagement.
What's involved:
Produce quality briefs that enable the Buying team to scope out product ranges and concepts with international manufacturers and suppliers
Evaluate product and analyse cost price submissions and make recommendations to the Buying team to a defined critical path
Work with factories and suppliers to ensure our product ranges evolve to meet changing customer and market demands
Ensure all product & packaging quality is appropriate for the relevant private label brand and manage through the approvals process
Actively manage the supplier base to develop and maximise key relationships and ensure all approvals, processes and deadlines are met
Who we’re looking for:
Our ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in a sourcing or buying role within a retail environment, preferably general merchandise.
You are innovative and will thrive working in a fast-paced environment within a dynamic team that actively works to adapt to the changing needs of the business.
You’ll need:
Demonstrated experience in a similar role
Tertiary qualification or equivalent degree in Economics, Business/ Marketing/Commerce/Supply Chain
Ability to develop and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to analyse costs and work in excel to produce summary reports
Experience in managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines
Excellent Communication skills (both written and verbal)
Highly organised with a strong attention to detail
