The Venue and The Role
We're looking for an experienced and innovative Sous Chef and Chef de Partie to join our professional kitchen brigade at Gibney. Gibney elevates the core components of the KHG brand; flavour-driven food, extensive beverage offerings, unbeatable ocean views and stylish fit outs, to create a distinctive and upmarket dining experience. The menu takes inspiration from classic brasseries and bistros while the interior and service exude exclusivity and style. This role will see you working alongside Head Chef, James Cole-Bowen and an established team of professionals, in a brand new, state of the art Mareno kitchen overlooking South Cottesloe Beach. Notes from the Head Chef ‘Gibney culinary offer draws inspiration from the great historical bistros and brasseries of the world, by remaining true to what has preceded it - classic presentations, sauces, and flavour combinations – assembled to bring it into the now and beyond. Not a copy-paste brasserie stuck in time, but uniquely West Australian, uniquely Cottesloe , uniquely Gibney. We cook with the seasons, with the best ingredients inspiring a menu with familiarity of flavours and dishes delivered with a modern interpretation.’
What we need from you?
- Relevant qualifications
- Creative and innovative with a genuine passion for your trade
- Ability to manage the team with the support of Senior Chefs
- Work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene and OH&S standards
- Experience with ordering and back of house processes preferred
