The Leederville is on the hunt for full-time Sous Chef to join our team. The Leederville Precinct is a busy operation responsible for servicing The Garden, The Leederville Hotel, and Servo. With a team dedicated to the industry, providing a fantastic opportunity to learn and work alongside some of Perth’s most respected hospitality professionals.
REMUNERATION
• $75,000 - $80,000

We are located in central Leederville near the train station. We are a well-established management team of hospitality professionals. We work hard, we have fun, we take care of each other, and have a genuine love for what we do. We are a large precinct with multiple bars and restaurants with a lot of variety that you're guaranteed to never get bored or restricted to one thing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepare and cook high-quality food, in fashionable trends.
• Lead and manage a team of chefs/cooks.
• Ordering, receiving, and storage of food.
• Maintain safe, hygienic food handling practices and cleanliness in line with Food Safety standards.
• Ensuring an efficient kitchen operation. Hire, train, roster, and mentor kitchen staff alongside management.
• Communicate and collaborate with front of house and management.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Prior experience as a Sous Chef in a commercial kitchen within a busy bistro.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Strong focus on food hygiene and safety systems.
• Effectively roster staff and manage labour costs.
• Able to manage target COGs.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Stock control, ordering, and rotation.
• Flexible with working hours.
• Passion for producing consistent, quality food.
• A strong work ethic and the ability to multitask.
• Must have the right to work in Australia and be a permanent resident.
