This is a 38 hour contract role working Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday. This full-time position will require weekend and possible evening work flexibility.
Wards Central Dining is the newest addition to the Hot Bread Retail Group family. Our restaurant is located in Shenton Park with a breakfast and lunch menu as well as liquor licence so you can now enjoy a drink with your meal.
To be our new Sous Chef you'll have proven experience in a similar role, strong leadership skills, great communication and enjoy a collaborative approach. You will also have a passion for utilising the best seasonal produce locally sourced from small farms and producers to deliver nourishing products to our customers.
About the role
· Managing the face-paced kitchen in all areas of service
· Assisting the Head Chef with weekly orders, preparation, staffing, stock control and health and safety
· Co-ordinating and fulfilling catering orders
· Co-create exciting and healthy menu items that will continue to grow our delicious breakfast and lunch offering
· Drive customer satisfaction through delivering exceptional food to Wards Central Dining customers
About you
· Full chef qualifications
· At least two-years experience as a Sous Chef / similar leadership role
· High level of maturity (even if you're not that old)
· Amazing organisational skills and a calm, cool head
· Good communication and team-focused attitude
· Thrives in faced paced environments
· Ability to work collaboratively within a team and/or autonomously.
· Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
