Montes, is located in Hideaway Bay, part of the beautiful Whitsunday's.
An opportunity exists for a Sous Chef/ Head Chef to join our team. We offer a Modern Australian share menu using fresh local primal cut meat and local Whitsunday's seafood. We offer three and four course Tasting menu options as well as our standard modern contempary share style menu.

About You:You will have a passion for hospitality and work soundly in a team. You will be able to handle pressure and busy services as a hospitality all rounder. You have a postive mental attitude and are willing to learn and grow with in the role.
You will also have skills and knowledge;
• Well groomed and presentation with the attitude of always being on show
• Excellent time management skills & ability to adapt and personalise guest experiences
• Flair for service and superior communications skills
• Reliability and flexibility in terms of shifts and rosters
• Familiar with POS

- You will be in command of the kitchen, resposibilites, ordering, kitchen maintenance and cleaning, menu planning, food costings, stock rotation, tempreture control, communicating with staff and guests, have a passionate attitude towards food and food culture, work with a young enthusiastic team.
- have the ability to train and coach kitchen staff on a day to day basis, produce daily specials, liase with local suppliers
- your own transport is key if you wish to visit the local community on your RDOs
- stable previous job history is required.
