With this in mind, if you feel that you may not tick all of the boxes below but believe you have something unique to contribute to our team, we strongly encourage you to apply - let's have the conversation.We are currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist to join our Business Support team at our Sunrise Dam Mine site, reporting into Manager of Full Potential/Business SupportThis role is a site based position at the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine on an 4/3 FIFO roster, where we operate direct flights to our sites from Perth and Kalgoorlie.Accountabilities:
- Support the execution of site-specific CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT strategy and initiatives by line managers, including scoping, signing off, and tracking the delivery of improvement initiatives; checking the validity of values, underlying analysis; project plans & schedules, and appropriate resourcing.
- Support the site leadership team in prioritisation and integration of site-wide CI initiatives into CI pipeline and plan.
- Assist line managers with regular management routines, including collating and updating progress to streamline reporting and feedback; updating value models; and collecting data to inform benefits tracking.
- Support the design, development and implementation of CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT systems aligned to International Operations requirements.
- Facilitate a common CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT approach to be utilised across AGAA, including use of Value Driver Trees & Cost Models; action plan development; ranking & prioritisation of improvement initiatives; establishing key operational metrics for measurement in coordination with the regional business improvement team.
- Develop relationships with the Continuous Improvement teams in the Australia Region to leverage 'best in class' tools/approaches.
- Actively participate in sharing scalable opportunities and learnings, new developments or synergies that might exist in the region.
- Provide input into the further development of the Continuous Improvement Discipline Health framework.
- Behaviour that is consistent with the AGA Safety Vision and Values.
- Bachelor's degree in mining, chemical, or metallurgical engineering, accounting, finance or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Formal training in CI methodologies (e.g., Lean and Six Sigma) (advantageous).
- Strong analytical skill set, including ability to identify and manage data, execute quality control, build Excel models and draw correct business insights and implications.
- Solid leadership skills and proven ability to organise and manage projects.
- Engaging interpersonal skills, including ability to connect and work with all levels of employees and management.
