This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of Continuous Improvement within the organisation. Gathering information, investigating inefficiencies and proposing improvements to optimise processes from the liquor warehouse to branches to customers and delivery.
This role is responsible for reviewing and implementing processes for the NetSuite ERP and WMS.
Role Overview:
- Take charge of leading and facilitating improvement projects aimed at enhancing efficiencies, identifying operational issues, and implementing waste reduction initiatives at the site.
- Lead and facilitate Continuous Improvement projects using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other recognised improvement frameworks.
- Leverage your expertise to identify deficiencies and provide recommendations for process, training, or work practice improvements based on your experience.
- Act as a change agent, fostering a culture of Continuous Improvement by encouraging innovation and proposing new ideas to enhance productivity and quality.
- Collaborate closely with all departments and customers to identify and execute Continuous Improvement initiatives, ensuring a cohesive approach across the organization
- Ensure the adaptability and efficiency of current processes or create new ones so that they work in accordance with the new ERP and the expected standards of the company
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Identify new business opportunities, including market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners.
- Analyse sales performance data to identify trends, forecast future sales, and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing customer feedback and resolving issues promptly and effectively.
- Implement customer feedback mechanisms to continuously improve service quality and product offerings.
- Develop and implement customer loyalty programs to enhance customer retention and satisfaction.
Key Competencies
The preferred candidate should bring forth demonstrated leadership proficiency in roles spanning production, sales, operations, engineering, or Continuous Improvement, preferably within the FMCG or manufacturing sectors. Profound expertise in Lean methodologies and a solid track record of effectively executing process improvements are crucial attributes we seek. Prior experience in FMCG or the Liquor Industry in Continuous Improvement/Process Engineer/Process Analyst roles will be highly regarded.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Continuous Improvement and sales, preferably within the liquor or FMCG industry.
- Strong knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
