Make a difference as a Product Owner- Regulatory Data
About the Role
As a Product Owner-Regulatory for Enterprise Data Domain team you will be responsible subject matter expertise over the data elements within your data product. This role will input business expertise into the information life cycle and the application of business rules to the data assets. This role will ensure that the data assets are available, reliable, consistent, accessible, secure, and timely to support the mission and activities of the organisation.
This role is for someone who loves data and wears a Product Owner cap for the team and can perform below listed key responsibilities:
- Create the roadmap for the Regulatory data products, develop and communicate the product goals, in alignment with the overall domain vision.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects, Data Governance specialists and Technical Owners to design the data products and promote a proactive risk culture.
- Collaborate with the Incident Response team and Line 1 risk to manage incidents and risks related to our products.
- Support Product Manager to retire legacy solutions and migrate on-premise solutions to IAG Google Data Platform in Google Cloud.
- Work with stakeholders and end users to understand their needs, manage their expectations and articulate upcoming work as Epics and Stories in the product backlog.
- Order and prioritise product backlog items and ensure that they are transparent, visible and well-understood by the engineering team.
- Work closely with the Iteration Manager/Scrum Master to lead the data analysis and engineering team, encourage an Agile working approach, and foster a team culture of cross-skilling and knowledge sharing.
- Establish forums and organise information sessions to showcase the products.
- Connect the data products to the IAG value streams, aligning with T&O (Technology and Operations) and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure the timely delivery of Regulatory data products by implementing Agile project management practices and monitoring progress against strict deadlines.
- Prioritise tasks to meet urgent regulatory deadlines without compromising on the quality and accuracy of the data provided.
- Implement stringent Quality Assurance (QA) processes and accuracy checks for all data products before release, to maintain the highest standards of data integrity and reliability.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by regularly reviewing and enhancing QA methodologies and accuracy standards in line with regulatory requirements.
About You
We are looking for the right person, with a good attitude who will be a solid team fit with the following skills and experiences: -
- Proven stakeholder management skills including requirements gathering and negotiate especially when there are conflicting priorities.
- Proven experience of working in Agile and Scrum methodology including but not limited to running an agile product team, managing backlogs and decide priorities to guide the team to deliver
- Proven experience of working as Product Owner or Data Specialist ideally in Regulatory space.
- Strong data analysis or data engineering background.
- Passionate in cloud technologies and AI technologies and willing to lead the product transition to the Google Cloud Platform.
