Providing leadership in Health and Hygiene on-site, the role will deliver:A shared vision and commitment to an industry-leading health and hygiene programs, and support and subject matter advice to Operations in the execution of WHC HSE processes and strategies such as injury and health management.
Facilitation of health and hygiene improvement strategies, along with the improvement of health and hygiene outcomes through the implementation of new methodologies.
Support QLD Operations with the implementation of the fitness for work, health surveillance and injury / illness management programs
Close and supportive relationships with QLD Operations, ensuring best practice health and hygiene management is championed and prioritisedThis role is based in our Brisbane CBD office, and will require occasional site visits.The role will report to Queensland Group Superintendent (Health).What You'll DoContribute to the of the H&H aspects of the WHC HSE Business Plan, and support the integration with WHC Strategic HSE related and business outcomes within operational plans
Support the development and implementation of minimum company standards for health and hygiene, and support QLD operations with Case management e.g. Work and non-work related Injury and illness case management, Fitness for Work case management
Support QLD operations with ensuring the requirements of the Coal Mine Worker's Health Scheme are met, as well as the coordination of approved hygiene monitoring programs.
Supporting the development of control initiatives to improve health and hygiene risk profiles, and coaching and developing leaders in the consistent implementation of health and hygiene systems and programs.What You'll BringTertiary qualifications in Health discipline e.g. Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, along with knowledge of WHST legislation and statutory requirements in Queensland
Experience in Injury and Case Management and Classification, and developing and leading project and program delivery
