Responsibilities:
As a Health and Safety Specialist, you will take on a crucial operational role on a construction site, reporting to the superintendent. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and delivering the functional Health & Safety (H&S) plan.
- Collaborating with operational leaders to enhance safety maturity.
- Working as part of a team to proactively manage key Health and safety risks on-site.
- Leading in the field, focusing on Critical Risk Management, Workplace Conditions, Hazard & ID control, Pre-start meetings, Incident Investigation, and action quality.
- Analysing and solving complex Health and safety issues.
- Providing on site support for incident investigations and risk assessments.
- Offering advice on Health and safety matters to operational leaders in alignment with HSEQ matters.
- Conducting first-party assurance to ensure compliance with systems, procedures, and standards.
- Developing and providing relevant H&S information, such as safety statistics, incident information, risk analysis, and educational material to supervisors.
- Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities in the Health and safety function.
