About the role
The Senior Health and Safety Specialist will leverage their expertise to coach people leaders to improve risk control effectiveness and drive performance improvements.
As part of this role, you will be responsible for providing guidance and technical advice regarding Health and Safety issues related to Construction and Maintenance activities.
Working as part of a central Health and Safety function, this role supports the property team with the development of their Health and Safety management practices.
Additionally, the role will provide training, auditing, and assurance activities at sites where Super Retail Group is the construction client.
About you
The successful candidate will bring the following experience and skills to the role:
- Demonstrated experience in a Health and Safety role.
- Knowledge of construction industry-specific Health and Safety regulations and standards.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- An ability to communicate safety requirements effectively, along with a strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures, is essential.
- An initiative-taking approach to safety and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Tertiary Qualification in Workplace/ Occupation Health and Safety, Occupational Hygiene and Health, or Quality Equivalent.
