Due to an internal promotion we are pleased to offer the opportunity for a well-presented, caring, friendly and conscientious person to join our team as a full-time Specialist Medical Administration Assistant/Receptionist, Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.
Located in bright, modern rooms in Subiaco (opposite SJOG), we are a dedicated, professional and happy team and we pride ourselves on the exceptional service we provide.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to demonstrate or gain skills and experience in Medical Administration, working in a practice that appreciates its team and the outstanding care it provides to our patients.
Medical administration or reception experience is not mandatory, however you must have customer service skills, a strong work ethic and a genuine desire to provide a professional and welcoming reception service in our patient focused practice.
The successful applicant will:
- Have excellent presentation and take pride in their work;
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Have accurate typing skills (60+wpm highly regarded);
- Be comfortable working in a computerised environment;
- Have a strong attention to detail
- Have the ability to prioritise and multi-task;
- Be responsible and reliable
- Have a genuine desire to help people.
Training will be provided if required and graduates looking for an opportunity to enter the medical industry are encouraged to apply.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Medical Secretary to provide coordinated patient care;
- Answering incoming calls and assisting patients, families and doctors with enquiries;
- Scheduling appointments and managing the consulting diary;
- Managing the reception area, meeting and greeting patients;
- Accurate audio typing of medical correspondence;
- Accurate creation and maintenance of electronic patient records;
- Invoicing and receipting.
Parking is available if required and Subiaco Train Station is 100m walk away.
