Job description

The role 

Responsible for undertaking the operation of specialised plant equipment and labouring duties within Civil construction and maintenance. This role will be working on a wide range of infrastructure such as roads, bridges and drainage. 

About you

  • You will be a competent operator of various plant (rollers, graders, loaders, excavators, backhoes, tractors, trucks, watercarts)
  • Knowledge and experience of road, bridge and drainage construction and maintenance techniques
  • Minimum HR Truck licence or willingness to undertake HC Licence
  • Strong understanding of Work Health Safety and environmental requirements
  • Hold a current approved Traffic Controller’s Card and Implement Traffic Control Plans Card 

Please note that to be a successful candidate for this role you’ll be required to complete a pre-employment medical check to ensure you can complete the essential requirements of the role.

Salary: Commencing salary circa range $58,800 to $70,600 p.a. plus superannuation (dependent on skills and experience)

Location: Upon commencement your normal place of work will be the MidCoast Council Taree Depot located on Arkwright Crescent, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.

Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
