About the Role:
As the Specialist Program Manager Transformation, you will lead an exciting period of significant change in our organisation to deliver on our mission to be a high-performing, customer-focused organisation that delivers value-for-money services for our community.
Leading a team of Project Managers and working closely with other Strategic Program Managers, Executive and Senior Leaders, you will oversee and guide the City’s transformation, delivering key components of the Transformation Roadmap, across various critical domains including customer experience, services, asset management, people and performance, contract management, insights and data, and digital and technology.
In this role, you will:
- Champion a clear vision and strategy for the transformation program in alignment with the organisation's goals and objectives.
- Provide expert advice and leadership to manage a number of project teams throughout the entire program lifecycle, from inception to delivery to deliver the transformation roadmap.
- Collaborate with strategic partners, both internally and externally, to ensure seamless execution and successful outcomes.
- Demonstrate foresight and mature judgment in addressing complex project and program-related challenges.
- Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on program status, milestones achieved, and any deviations from the plan.
- Collaborate with the Transformation Delivery Office to ensure timely availability of adequate resources for the program through effective scheduling and funding allocations, facilitating workforce planning.
- Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Monitor risks throughout the program and implement contingency plans as necessary.
- Foster a culture of safety, well-being, and high performance within the program team.
You will excel in this role if you have:
- Ability to inspire and motivate teams, provide clear direction, and drive progress towards goals.
- Extensive experience with portfolio, program and project management methodologies and frameworks.
- Proven and extensive experience in leading large organisational transformation programs within scope, budget, and schedule constraints.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusting and effective relationships through strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances, adjust plans as needed, and navigate uncertainty with resilience.
- A commitment to promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
