About the Role:
As a Project Manager at Rio Tinto within the Traditional Owner Partnership division. You will play a critical role in overseeing and delivering a portfolio of projects. Your responsibilities will include managing project planning, execution, and successful outcomes. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate effectively, and ensure that projects meet technical, cost, and schedule goals.
Role Purpose:
- Develop project plans, including scope, schedule, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate project activities, ensuring alignment with contractual and business requirements.
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and consultants.
- Maintain effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Foster positive relationships and address any conflicts.
- Apply robust judgment to make informed decisions.
- Manage conflicting schedules and deadlines.
- Understand technical aspects related to project delivery.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers or team members.
- Provide guidance on estimating, project delivery, and best practicess
Skills & Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, preferably in the mining or construction industry.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
