About the Role

We are currently looking for a risk / training specialist to join our Fixed Plant Reliability team.

This role will support the Mine Fixed Plant Maintenance department in improving personnel training compliance and will also support risk and control owners in managing material risks.

In this role you will:

  • Contribute expertise, identify training needs, and develop, update and continuously improve prescribed training curriculum for the department
  • Provide guidance for material risk and critical control maturity assessments, evaluations and testing
  • Help identify improvement opportunities for materials risks and critical controls
  • Coach and mentor to improve understanding of material risks and critical controls across the business.
  • Work collaboratively across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders with varying degrees of seniority
  • Update maintenance procedures & work instructions where relevant
  • Build cross-functional relationships with other reliability, risk and training sub-functions
  • Execute high value Field Leadership observations

Please note this position is based at Olympic Dam, operating on a 8/6 roster, with residential or FIFO options out of Adelaide available.

About You
  • Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm's way.
  • Prior exposure to risk management and/or training compliance recommended
  • Must have excellent time management skills and be able to prioritise
  • Need to be safety minded, with proven ability to demonstrate HSEC behaviours
  • Be a team player, but also be able to work effectively unsupervised and be highly self-motivated
  • Ability to communicate well across multiple levels and disciplines
