About this position
Racing Analytical Services Ltd is seeking to employ a full-time Specimen Receptionist for a period of 6 months at its laboratory located in Flemington.
The duties of this position include:
- receiving and logging-in samples for analysis;
- Interacting with clients;
- organising, maintaining, and ensuring the security of stored samples; and
- preparation and distribution of sample testing kits to clients.
Background, skills and experience
In order to be considered for this position, you will have:
- Experience in a receptionist or customer service role, preferably in a laboratory
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Good keyboard/data entry skills
- Excellent written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Basic Windows skills, LIMS)
- A Certificate in Laboratory techniques (would be an advantage, but is not essential)
About Racing Analytical Services Limited
Racing Analytical Services Ltd (RASL) is a not-for-profit company set up by the Victorian Racing Industry (VRI) and the State Government of Victoria in 1988. RASL operates a drug testing laboratory which specialises in the detection of drugs and related substances for the thoroughbred, harness and greyhound racing industries in Victoria, as well as for interstate and overseas clients. In addition, RASL provides human drug testing services and has a certification program for sports supplements.
