About the Role:
As part of our allied health team, you will be working a highly diverse NDIS caseload involving all ages and abilities, ensuring optimal care and outcomes by providing a comprehensive range of speech pathology services based on participant goals. The role includes:
- Planning and implementing intervention programs.
- Devising therapy programs and supporting families in their implementation of these.
- Assistive technology assessment (e.g., AAC) and reporting to the NDIS.
- Communicating with participants, their families, carers, and other service providers, providing information about level of functioning and ongoing management.
- Collaborating with other members of the team and participating in interdisciplinary clinical and planning activities to enhance the overall service provided to participants.
- Documenting assessment findings and interventions.
- Making referrals and linking participants/carers with appropriate community resources and services.
About you:
- You are a Speech Pathologist with, or are willing and able to obtain, Certified Practising Speech Pathologist status with Speech Pathology Australia.
- You have strong interpersonal skills that allow you to develop collaborative relations with clients and colleagues.
- You hold or are willing to obtain a current Working with Children Check, National Police Clearance and a NDIS Worker Screening Check prior to commencing.
- You are reliable and able to work with a high level of autonomy.
- You are committed to ongoing professional development.
