Paediatric and Neonatal Speech Pathologist

About the role

We are looking for a Grade 2 Speech Pathologist to join the Speech Pathology, Allied Health (Women’s & Children’s) team at Eastern Health.  This an ongoing leave cover role which offers the opportunity to work across and upskill in a range of areas, including the Special Care Nursery and Acute Paediatric teams and the community health paediatric team.

This role is available on a part-time, ongoing basis for a clinician with consolidated clinical skills and knowledge in the diagnosis and management of paediatric communication and swallowing disorders across the continuum of care. You will operate in a supported learning environment with access to professional development, supervision and mentoring and will have the opportunity to expand and consolidate a range of skills in paediatric speech pathology care.

About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Approved Degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent and eligibility for practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia
  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills in the diagnosis and management of communication, swallowing and feeding difficulties in infants and preschool children.
  • Strong, effective interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining and applying up to date clinical knowledge through professional development and literature review
  • A strong commitment to high quality care in line with Eastern Health values
  • Current driver’s license and access to vehicle
