About the role
A rare and exciting opportunity exists for enthusiastic Grade 2Speech Pathologists to join the Speech Pathology team at Grampians Health - Ballarat. Within a large, dynamic and friendly team of Speech Pathologists, you will be working in multidisciplinary environments in subacute inpatients, community and aged care. Your role will involve the provision clinical Speech Pathology services predominantly for inpatients and outpatients in the subacute and community settings. Opportunities to provide instrumental assessments of swallowing and voice, specifically videofluoroscopic swallow studies (VFSS) and flexible endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES) exist. Support in developing skills in Speech Pathology specialty areas such as VFSS and FEES will be available for clinicians who require support in developing competency in these areas.
Dependent on experience and candidate interest, this flexible role has opportunities to be involved in:
- Clinical supervision of Grade 1 Speech Pathologists
- Clinical education
- Leadership in service development and innovation
- Participation in funded research projects
