About the role

An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and innovative clinician to join our Peter James Centre team on a fixed term, part time basis. This position will suit a Speech Pathologist with a relevant clinical background in rehabilitation and geriatric evaluation and management (GEM) services, and demonstrating strong leadership, supervision, communication and quality improvement skills.

You will enjoy a diverse adult caseload managing a range of speech, language and swallowing disorders delivered across the rehabilitation and GEM care streams. As part of the multidisciplinary team you will work closely with clients and their families. You will also work as part of the larger Eastern Health speech pathology team and be supported with regular supervision, opportunities for professional development and undertake student supervision, guided by our learning and teaching program. We also offer in-house learning pathways for VFSS, tracheostomy and FEES.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Eligibility for practising membership with Speech Pathology Australia
  • Relevant experience in assessment, treatment and management of communication and swallowing disorders in rehabilitation and GEM caseloads.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team
  • An established track record of highly developed interpersonal skills
  • A strong commitment to high quality care in line with Eastern Health values
  • Current driver’s license and access to vehicle
