About the role
A new and exciting opportunity exists for a Speech Pathologist to join our Casual Speech Pathology team at Grampians Health - Horsham, Dimboola and Stawell Campuses.
This role is predominantly to provide leave cover across our admitted and care community services which may include weekend, public holiday and / or weekday services. This role will entail working with a broad range of adults presenting with voice, swallowing and airways conditions, communication difficulties and cognitive-communication impairments.
You will be a part of our large team of Speech Pathologists and be supported with structured supervisory support. Depending on your availability and identified needs, training and competency programs are available to support you developing skills in specialist areas such as instrumental swallowing assessments including VFSS.
Applications will be considered from Grade 1 or 2 Speech Pathologists with experience working in acute and subacute adult inpatient settings and/or in care communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provision of clinical speech pathology services across acute, subacute and care community settings at Horsham, Dimboola and Stawell Campuses
- Assessment, diagnosis and management of inpatients and residents presenting with communication and swallowing disorders, including conducting and interpreting Videofluoroscopic Swallow Studies
- Providing weekend, public holiday and / or weekday services
- Commit to regular shifts and/or blocks of leave cover
