About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for a paediatric Speech Pathologist to join the Primary and Community Health Speech Pathology team in South Western Sydney Local Health District. We are currently recruiting temporary full time Speech Pathology (Level 1/2) positions at Narellan Community Health Centre and Ingleburn Community Health Centre.

The successful applicant will be working with children presenting with a variety of communication difficulties and their families. Applicants will join a supportive team and be provided with clinical supervision and professional development opportunities.

What You'll be Doing
To provide a high quality speech pathology service to paediatric clients and their carers to ensure optimal health outcomes. This encompasses ensuring effective and efficient assessment and intervention in a multidisciplinary setting to paediatric clients presenting with a variety of communication disorders and complex needs. The speech pathologist is also responsible for undertaking designated non-clinical tasks to support service delivery including clinical supervision, quality improvement activities and administrative tasks.

How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.

Must hold a bachelor or post graduate degree in speech pathology which provides eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Knowledge of, and the demonstrated ability to, implement the quality improvement process.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, computer literacy and time management.
Demonstrated commitment to continued professional development and commitment to evidence based practice.
Demonstrated clinical knowledge, experience and skills in assessing and managing paediatric clients (0-12 years) with a variety of communication disorders.
Knowledge of, and ability to use multidisciplinary teamwork, and to collaborate with other services/organisations relevant to case management and service delivery.
Demonstrated experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse, vulnerable and/or at risk communities ensuring the provision of client/family centred care.
Current unrestricted Australian drivers licence (P2 Licence Acceptable) subject to obtaining NSW drivers licence within 3 months of appointment.
