About the role

McConnell Dowell Constructors Aust. Pty Ltd are seeking a Project Administrator interested in working on the Kidston Pumped Storage Hydro project in a remote part of North Queensland.

We understand your time is valuable and that working hours need to be fulfilling, with challenging yet meaningful work. That’s why we’re offering a 20% project allowance payable as well as accommodation and food provided during your tenure on this project.

You will be responsible for:

  • Operating the McConnell Dowell cost system for the Project.
  • Providing timely cost reports to management.
  • Collecting and collating work hours for weekly paid employees and issue for payroll processing.
  • Maintaining payroll records for staff including timekeeping data and statistics.
  • Maintaining the Project personnel roster and coordinating flights and accommodation requirements in line with the project's rotational roster.
  • Assisting the Project Controls/Contract Administrator as required with any administration issues regarding the day-to-day operations of the Project Office.
  • Assisting the Project Safety team with keeping safety records up to date.
About you
  • Ability to operate with minimal direction, prioritise work requirements and effectively manage time.
  • Clear verbal and written communication and ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Prior experience in a construction project environment highly regarded.
