About Us
Relieve Disability Service Pty Ltd is a leading healthcare service specialising in providing top-quality care to patients with various needs. We are currently looking to hire a dedicated and skilled Speech Therapist to join our professional team.
Position: Speech Therapist
Salary: $70,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation per annum
Key Responsibilities
Diagnosing, treating, and preventing speech, language, and swallowing disorders Creating tailored treatment and therapy plans for a diverse patient population Performing screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
Educating patients and their families on the causes and treatments of speech disorders Maintaining detailed patient records and reporting progress to relevant parties Collaborating with healthcare professionals like family members, teachers, and physicians Employing both traditional therapies and innovative techniques to provide optimal care.
Keeping up to date with industry advancements through continued education and networking. Taking detailed notes on patient history and progress
Mentoring and conducting workshops for speech therapy students
Evaluating patient progress and making required adjustments to therapy programs
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Therapy Relevant licensure and certification
Strong understanding of speech-related conditions, causes, and treatments Exceptional communication and coaching skills.
Proficiency in healthcare database management
Experience with specific disorders and/or age groups may be preferred Resourcefulness and strong problem-solving abilities.
