SalaryWe are looking for a Sport and Event League Liaison Officer to join our team at Urban Rec!
Reporting to the League Manager, the League Liaison works as a conduit between members, captains, and the League Manager. As an advocate for Urban Rec, the League Liaison is responsible for building relationships, and supporting all parties to ensure our Leagues run smoothly with a high level of member experience.
Your loves include meeting new people, socialising, being active and healthy, hosting and facilitating great events. You are a positive person and you love being organised, on time, and speaking to groups of people. You will need to travel from sport to sport on your designated night, creating experiences and adding a burst of energy for our participants.
Although it is not essential, a solid understanding of social media and content marketing would be a very good attribute.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Training new League Hosts on how to run a successful night
- Bringing and collecting equipment and prizes as necessary
- Manage and report missing equipment
- Ensuring all participants have signed waivers, and are rostered
- Ensure Staff and members are aware of Urban Rec events, discounts, perks, and policies
- Host Season opener events (launch nights)
- Host Season Ender Events (presentation nights)
- Host activation weeks for leagues that need additional ‘member experience’
- Build rapport and relationships with teams and Captains
- Working close with individual teams to build rapport
- Upload quality content to our social media channels
- Scheduling weekly content on social media channels
- Attend retention meetings, and organise re-registration and coordinate with League Manager
ABOUT YOU
- Exceptional understanding of Urban Rec policies and procedures.
- Have a car, or be able to drive to visit league/sports and Events
- Available to work evenings
- Super organised and detail orientated
- A confident person, who can think for themselves
- Player agnostic, and able to handle conflict, and complaints
- Passionate about Sport and Events
- Attend Clubhouses for post-game drinks (must be 18+)
HOURS AND PAY
This role is a seasonal opportunity, with potential to extend for the right candidate. The hours would be Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu 3-8pm. The occasional Sunday afternoon through Spring and Summer. Approx 15 - 20hours a week with potential to be more.
