Sport and Recreation Project and Business Manager

The Company

@leisure is a Sport and Recreation planning consultancy based in Ascot Vale that provides specialist planning services in sport, recreation and open space planning across Australia.

We undertake a broad range of projects including business cases, strategic plans, facility feasibility studies and sports, aquatic and open space plans and related tasks for local government, as well as state government, the land development industry, sports and local clubs.

Position Overview

The Project and Business Manager is responsible for project workflow in the office, finances, business development and human resources, marketing, winning projects, corporate information, office management, and administrative staff.

The position is based in Melbourne, working remotely at least on a part time basis can be negotiated.

Key Position Outputs

1. Driving growth, development and marketing of the business

2. Managing overall work and cash flow and project outputs

3. Preparation of business plans, tender submissions and fee proposals

4. Management of financial and human resources

5. Corporate reporting and Business functions

Key Competencies:

You must have / demonstrate:

• Familiarity with sport, open space and Recreation planning industry and Local Government practices

• Highly developed personal and communication and time management skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects effectively on time and on budget

• Experience in business management / business analysis and financial management

• High level of competency in writing, computing, Project and time management

• The ability to work quickly, and to manage deadlines enthusiastically and independently

• Small business acumen (or a desire to develop this).

Salary
