We are looking for an experienced and well-networked Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our dynamic and high performing national sales team.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the National Business Development Manager for Projects, you will be responsible for creating and managing key projects within target segments across VIC.
As the BDM, you will be accountable for continually advancing James Hardie’s growth of High Value Products across projects within the multi-family, aged care and non-residential segments. This is done by implementing strategies to strengthen our competitive position and deliver sustainable profitable growth year on year.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Manage targeted mainly Builder accounts to drive repeat use and advocacy
- Drive growth in high value products by identifying and acquiring significant project volumes in Multi-Family and Aged Care segments
- Support customers in maintaining James Hardie specifications for Non-Residential and HD projects
- Manage complex project cycle including providing design and technical support to a range of stakeholders
- Effectively track project acquisition and provide a clear demand signal to sales operations and local supply chain teams
- Align opportunities with local sales team to drive through key customer partners
- Amplify impact of key wins through local state team and customers
- Effectively utilise lead generation tools and agencies
- Work with key installers to drive growth of Fibre Cement High Value Products
- Minimum 5 years sales experience with a proven track record in Business Development
- Qualifications/backgrounds in Carpentry, Building Design or Civil Engineering would be highly desirable
- Experience working in the building industry is essential; experience across Multi-family and non-residential segments strongly favourable
- Experience with Salesforce or another CRM is desirable
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Strong communication, networking and influencing skills, with the ability to build positive rapport and relationships with key stakeholders at all levels
- Proven ability to shift seamlessly between strategic and tactical thinking to deliver outcomes
- Ability to problem solve and negotiate suitable outcomes
