Join us in shaping the future of Sport and Recreational infrastructure across the Playford community!About the Role...The Sport and Recreation Project Officer will assist the Sport and Recreation Planner with developing and managing best practice plans in relation to Sport and Recreation infrastructure across the City of Playford. This role will provide project management support and lead projects whilst proactively partnering with internal and external stakeholders to ensure community and corporate needs are met.In addition, the position develops clear and effective reports and presentations for Executive, Council and Committee’s. The position provides strong customer service and advice to enquiries concerning Sport and Recreation.About You...You will have experience in the planning, coordination and delivery of Sport & Recreation projects and hold a qualification in Sports & Recreation Management or equivalent. You will also have highly developed research and report writing skills with the ability to confidently craft, present and represent Council at meetings and other community groups.Experience in Local Government and knowledge of the role Local Government plays in supporting Sport and Recreation outcomes is desirable.In addition, you will have:
- Strong communications skills and the ability to effectively work and negotiate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent team player with ability to collaborate across the organisation.
- Experience in developing budgets and funding applications.
- Hold a valid Class C Driving Licence.
