About the job
As a member of the coaching staff at the Y Geelong this position requires you to work as part of a large team committed to the goals and mission that actively fosters community participation and involvement. As a Sports Coach at the Y Geelong you will be required to possess a basic knowledge and understanding of most sports and a passion for children and youth participating and access sport in their communities. You must be available for weekend and week day shifts.

The Y Geelong Board and Management are committed to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding Children and Young People framework. All applicants must undergo satisfactory screening prior to commencement, including but not limited to:
a national criminal history check;
an international criminal history check where applicants have worked overseas;
holding or obtaining a valid Working with Children Card;
Three reference checks.
The successfully appointed applicant will be required to adhere to the Safeguarding Children and Young People policies and practices which include; safeguarding children and young people induction, annual SCYP training programs & committing to upholding the safety and wellbeing of children and young people throughout terms of employment.
