Stuartholme is a Catholic independent girls’ school catering for secondary day and boarding students. THE POSITIONS:
We are looking for casual Netball, Rowing, Volleyball and Touch Football Coaches (Foundation & Development Level) for the 2024 season. Successful applicants will be advised of training and competition arrangements by the Sports Office staff once it is scheduled, but the commitment will generally be one training session per week, with matches usually played on Saturdays. Rowing has additional morning/afternoon sessions, dependent on the year level. These seasons run across school Terms 2 and 3.
Personal qualities and skills essential to the position:
- Coaches will need to demonstrate a base knowledge of Netball, Rowing, Volleyball or Touch Football.
- The completion of a coaching course or Community Coaching Essential Skills (free online course offered by the Australian Institute of Sport) in the relevant sport would be advantageous.
- Coaches will need to be organised, but adaptable. They will start each training session prepared, but also be ready for absences or changes.
- Coaches will need to be personable, with suitable communication and organisational skills.
- Coaches will need to work well with players, parents, School staff (including Sports Office staff and fellow coaches) and officials. They will create an enjoyable environment both for themselves and others.
- Coaches are expected to actively support the Catholic ethos of the School and the Goals of Sacred Heart Education.

Mandatory Requirements
Applicants must hold a current Positive Notice Blue Card for Child Related Employment or be eligible to apply (“P” card). No card - no start.
