The Opportunity
As the SQL & Integration Developer, a newly created role, you will be at the forefront of advancing our organisation's technological ecosystem.
Confident and collaborative in your approach, you will work closely with key stakeholders to design, develop, and implement robust integration solutions that seamlessly connect our diverse systems and applications.
Inquisitive and driven, you will leverage your expertise to positively contribute to shaping our overall system architecture to ensure optimal data flow, scalability, and performance.
What will a typical day involve?
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design scalable, efficient, and maintainable integration solutions
- Creation and maintenance of ETL (Extract, Transform & Load) processes and API integrations to ensure the steady flow of data between our systems.
- Lead the hands-on development and coding efforts for integration projects using languages such as VB, C#, Python
- IT support and troubleshooting as required
- Ensure code quality, security, and compliance with coding guidelines and standards.
- Create comprehensive technical documentation for integration solutions, including design specifications, deployment guides, and operational procedures.
- Develop and execute test plans for integration solutions to ensure reliability and performance.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and optimisation within the integration development life cycle
What we need
- Formal qualifications in IT or related discipline
- Demonstrated experience with SQL database queries, design and maintenance
- Familiarity with the Azure ecosystem preferable (Azure SQL, PowerApps, Automation, Data gateways).
- ERP experience with Sage 300 or Pronto preferred.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Eg. VB, C#, Python).
- Confidence managing small technical projects, where you’ll have strong time management skills, a results orientation and keen customer focus.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, and an ability to elicit technical requirements from internal customers and colleagues
