Sr Procurement Officer

Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Procurement Officer who can undertake the following tasks/responsibilities across all areas of operations, for a minimum six-month term with a view to extend.

Key requirement:

A proficient end-to-end understanding of application of the South Australian Government Procurement Framework.

Deliverables/Responsibilities

• The Senior Procurement Officer is accountable to the Procurement Manager for the provision of timely, value for money procurement and contract management services to client. Specifically, the role contributes to the development, delivery, maintenance, implementation, and compliance with the parent client's Procurement, Contract Management, and associated policies.

• Responsible for managing the end-to-end (source to contract) activities. This will include the preparation of procurement documentation (acquisition plans, purchase recommendations) including tender documentation, standard agreements, along with conducting evaluations, risk assessments and negotiation processes.

• Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, legal representatives, contract parties and suppliers and other government agencies that facilitate effective and efficient procurement processes and add value to the business.

• Develop, review, evaluate and continuously improve policies, procedures, guidelines, and systems relating to the procurement function to ensure compliance with legislative and audit requirements. (e.g maintenance of the agency's contract register).

Flexible working arrangements will be considered, however there is also an expectation to be on-site over the course of the working week.
