Stable Management

Vandyke Racing are currently seeking a motivated, highly experienced, and capable horseperson to join our stable as a manager. The successful applicant will be a natural, kind, horseperson, however, their passion for horses and the racing industry can exceed their current level of knowledge around the training component. They will have a thirst for learning about all areas of the business and a willingness to work hard and adapt to change quickly. Attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential. All applicants must have a minimum of 3-year full-time professional experience in the horse industry. The role will include, but is not limited to-:

• Implementing procedures, systems, and schedules developed by the trainer.
• Following feeding, supplement, and stable vet schedules
• Record keeping.
• Representation of the stable on race day
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Leadership, respect, and management of stable staff.
• Sound knowledge of health and safety obligations.
