Our client, a hospital based in Sunny Queensland is looking for an Emergency Consultant to join their Emergency Department.

The Position:
You will provide specialist emergency care to patients in the Hospital Emergency Department; a well-equipped rural ED accredited with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) for training in Emergency Medicine.
You will also provide professional leadership to medical staff within the department and be actively involved in further education and training programs, in collaboration with ACEM, for our workforce.
Duties:
- To work in Emergency as a Staff Specialist, providing Emergency Care to patients but also telehealth support and advice for the remote locations of the service
- To be actively involved in education and training including College training programs and training of our workforce
- To be part of a team that actively contributes to patient safety by following policies, procedures and protocols of the Colleges, the North West Hospital and Health Service and the Emergency Department
- To support continued improvement of health services by participating in quality improvement opportunities
- To improve patient safety by active contribution to a framework of sound clinical governance
Are you the right person for the role?
- FACEM - Specialist in Emergency Medicine preferred
- MBBS or equivalent registrable with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Possession of accredited / advanced skills in Emergency Medicine, Anaesthetics, O&G, Remote Medicine or A&TSI Health.

Competitive pro rata remuneration package based on full-time equivalent value up to $562,559 p.a. comprising:
- Base salary range of $179,703 - $227,843 p.a. (full-time) or $86.10 - $109.16 p.h. (part-time) (L18-L27)
- 5 weeks Annual Recreational Leave accumulation with 17.5% loading when taken
- Generous employer contribution to superannuation of 12.75%
- Attraction and retention incentive allowance of 50% base annual salary
- Regional and rural attraction allowance of 15% base annual salary
- Motor vehicle allowance
- Professional development allowance and leave of 3.6 weeks p.a.
- Inaccessibility allowance of $34,500 p.a.
- Emergency Department specialist allowance of 25% base annual salary
