This responsibility carries three broad components:
- Technology engineering of network infrastructure services.
- Network Infrastructure Design and Development.
- Technical design governance of partners and service providers.
The team has a number of specialisations and provides technical design authority over a range of networking disciplines around Cloud, Network Automation and Core network design/architecture.
The RoleAs a member of the Secure Network Services Software Defined Networks team, you will be leading the technical design, run lead and contribute to the technical aspects of the product, services and roadmap we deliver, from design to coding, deployment and operation, in a secure, compliant, and adaptive way.As a Staff Engineer, you will lead expert engineering guidance across the Network portfolio in order to drive excellence, quality and performance.
Your Skills and Experience- Comprehensive knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VXLAN, VPN BGP, and OSPF etc.
- Experience with automation and network configuration tools (YANG, Ansible, Terraform).
- Expertise in Network configuration, automation and task simplification tools (ie. Cisco Network Services Orchestrator, Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipeline, Python, Yang, Terraform, JSON).
- Demonstrable competence in architecting, developing, deploying and managing serverless infrastructures on public cloud (AWS and/or Azure), and adherence to cloud networking and security best practices.
- Proficiency in scripting languages for cloud technologies and serverless deployments (ie Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Demonstrable experience with Cisco Switches (Nexus and IOS), Routers and Firewalls.
- Experience in F5 GTM, LTM and DNS VMWare NSX, and Azure/AWS network security group enforcement policies and firewall management.
- CCNP or CCSP certification preferred.
