This premium beverage manufacturer that sells spring water, an Italian style premium still & sparkling water and now also a premium local Rum, is looking for a State Distributor Manager. As a successful company that is still in the start-up phase (but has been operating for 2 years+ and has everything in place including existing customers and good revenue already), they are looking for an established and connected sales person to sell the newly developed products to hospitality, resort, hotel and other wholesale food distributors and buyers as well as maintaining the sales & distribution strategy for a suite of rums and cane spirits under the company umbrella.
This will involve sales / trade & consumer activation and marketing as well as managing the launch in SE Qld and beyond. This person is expected to innovate and use their deep set of industry and local area relationships and FMCG product knowledge, to drive the business forward, grow sales and ensure a profitable operating business within a 3 -5 year period. Responsibilities will include some operations and P&L reporting, following the initial start-up phase.
Reporting to the CEO, you can be based at the Townsville head office or anywhere in Southeast QLD. (Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Gold Coast) and would be required to be able to travel up to 2 weeks out of 4. (could be less as well)
You will have the responsibility for:
Sales Lead - Premium Water
Local Area Marketing Strategy responsible for local area sales & marketing strategy including demonstrating value proposition for customers & consumers in Southeast QLD, Whitsundays & North & FN Queensland for new premium still & sparkling water
Sales & Distribution - Development & execution of initial distribution strategy, building on existing PET core customer relationships, as well as building further premium relationships with islands/resorts, food wholesale distributors, hospitality
Finance manage sales forecasts & reporting/analysis on product sales & P&L reporting
Production work closely with production to ensure timely delivery, order management
Maintain competitor & customer insights analysis, build industry relationships within the local area
Sales lead - Premium Rum
Sales & Distribution - Development of sales and distribution strategy/relationships
Develop customer and distributor relationships including with bar staff, venues, wholesalers
Execute and continue to grow sales in all local and statewide venues
Trade & Consumer Brand Activation - utilise name, imagery, planning and execution of all launch & ongoing activations for both consumers and customers, to ensure it becomes a loved brand over Queensland
SE Queensland launch product, gain ranging develop customer and distributor relationships including with bar staff, venues, wholesalers
Drive sales over a longer period
Manage Sales staff - Spring Water
Manage the existing Sales & Distribution staff running
Sales of existing PET & 15 Lt bottled water busines
Credit ensure customers credit worthy, comply with payment terms etc
Finance - forecasts/reporting/analysis on sales and co-ordinate with accounting team for P&L reporting back to Rainspark
Maintain competitor and customer insights analysis.
You are a professional with experience in the beverage or consumer goods space and knows distributor models. You have the ability to work autonomously and possess strong communication skills as well as results driven with a motivation to succeed and comfortable with both cold calling and account management.
* You will possess sales experience within the (FMCG) space or closely aligned with these channels.
* Display a track record in developing new business and maintaining and growing a distributor network while working with large, key account end users / groups.
* Experience in account management.
* Strong relationship management and interpersonal communication skills
* Have a knowledge of Microsoft suite of products and CRM capabilities.
